‘Cold Girl’ Makeup Trend || A Dreamy Way To Show Up To Holiday Parties

Because it just doesn’t make sense to look tanned when not on the beach. And as cold weather approaches, it sounds like an ideal time to try one of the latest TikTok obsessions; the “I’m cold” makeup trend.

Loved by many beauty icons like Hailey Bieber, the look basically mimics the cold glow we all love and perfectly complements winter style. Sounds like a look made for the cold holiday season. Here is how to achieve it…

Hydration comes first

To make this look as successful as possible، you need to start with a round of hydration. Use your favorite hydrating cream and/or serum to prep your skin.

It’s all about the blush

Blush is the focal point of the chilly look. With all the clothes we wear to keep our bodies warm, most of the time our faces are left to the cold temperature which gives a rosier complexion. To mimic this look, you need to blush all the areas that normally get red in the cold like like the tip of the nose, chin, and apples of the cheeks. And make sure to apply the blush in the same way you would place bronzer in the summer for a fake tan.

Go for a cream formula

A fresh and dewy look is all that your skin needs in the drying weather. So a cream blush with hyaluronic acid will keep your skin hydrated all day, indoors and outdoors.

Avoid going too heavy

Yes, the goal is to make your complexion look a bit rosier like you just stepped in from the cold, but too much of a good thing is bad. Avoid applying blush close to the eyes or the sides of the nose. The last thing you want is to look “like special effects makeup” or like you have flu!

A touch of gleam

To get that beautiful frosty look, add shimmer to the same high points you applied the blush, and viola.

Frosty Eyes

A light-reflective, shimmering shade is your best option when it comes to eyeshadow. Apply over the entire eyelid, the inner corner of the eye, and under the arch of the brow, and keep the outer corner and crease matte for contrast.

Skip strong lashes

Basically, curl your lashes and apply some mascara. Skip fake lashes for this doll-like look.
