Our Exclusive Interview With Amani Qaddoumi of Alb
Founded by Amani Qaddoumi, alb is an inspirational & innovative project that utilizes NFC technology to create personalized messages or promotions through a friendly app & upload them on signature items to come up with smart sentimental gifts.
Alb wristbands are such an innovative idea. How did you come up with it?
Throughout the pandemic, I felt the need for feeling closer to people who matter while being physically apart. Therefore, I decided to design a product that also carries my essence, a combination of emotions, technology, & design.
How does it work?
Alb smart wristband uses NFC – a rising technology. The same that powers wireless payments or contactless cards. Users can download the Alb app, choose photos, videos, or voice notes, tap their phone on the wristband to get access to their virtual cloud where they can upload the memories of their loved ones. Wear it or give it to someone where the echo of their love is felt, heard, expressed, & remembered time & again.
What determined the memory type categories?
We offer six different categories that are commonly used in media sharing.
What memory type is your favorite?
The voice! Hearing someone saying genuine messages has always affected me the most.
“A picture is worth a thousand words” true or false?

Do you see wristbands as the future of wearable technology?
