Is Facial Sculpting Massage The New Fountain Of Youth?

It seems that more and more people are opting for this non-invasive alternative to surgical procedures, Botox, and filler so I decided to give it a try.

I must say, I was fascinated.

Dr. Siwar’s clinic is a small unassuming space in the heart of a busy street, it is a haven of calm amidst the mayhem. Her serene demeanor inspired ease and confidence as her sculpting session took me on a journey of facial rejuvenation. The kneading, tapping, and rolling movements targeted my facial muscles and tissues, promoting blood flow and lymphatic drainage. It was both relaxing and invigorating.

But what truly caught my attention was the way Dr. Siwar’s Signature Massage improved the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, and loss of volume. It stimulated collagen production, which helps maintain my skin’s elasticity and firmness. The benefits don’t stop there. Facial sculpting massages reduced puffiness and dark circles, improved overall skin tone and texture, and even relieved tension in my jaw and sinus congestion.

Of course, choosing a qualified and experienced practitioner trained in these techniques is important to get the most out of this massage. As someone who is always on the hunt for non-invasive alternatives in beauty, I must admit that facial sculpting is worth considering. Dr. Siwar offers a safe and effective way to reduce the signs of aging, relieve tension, and pain, promoting an improvement in overall health and well-being.

CIIN Magazine was able to talk with Dr. Siwar and inquire about her background and technique.

What kind of training and certifications do you have?

Facial Sculpting Massage

As a certified facial massage therapist, I have honed my skills and technique through rigorous training in different countries and in various modalities, such as myofascial release, buccal massage, lymphatic drainage, sculptural face lifting massage, kinesiology face taping, and cupping massage.

How would you describe the facial sculpting massage technique?

Unlock the secret to a younger-looking, radiant complexion with the targeted art of facial sculpting massage, kneading and smoothing out the signs of aging using specialized tools and firm yet gentle strokes, encouraging the production of collagen and revitalizing blood flow for a brighter, refreshed look. By calming the muscles and releasing pent-up stress in the face and neck areas, indulge in a relaxing experience that rejuvenates the skin, banishing pesky issues such as puffy eyes, dark circles, and fine lines, restoring your youthful glow once more.

Can you walk us through the steps involved in a typical facial sculpting session?

At the outset of our facial sculpting massage service, we initiate lymphatic system activation via the implementation of lymph node pumping and pressure point application. Following this, we incorporate myofascial release techniques alongside lifting and sculpting approaches. While the implementation of our cupping method (which may not be ideal for everyone, but our session is catered to one need and skin type), we also incorporate specialized buccal massage techniques specifically designed to accurately and effectively target the necessary muscles using deep and intensive movements to stretch and release strained muscles.

What is a buccal massage and what are its benefits?

Facial Sculpting Massage

Buccal massage is a highly sought-after facial massage technique designed to refine and enhance the natural contours of the face, including the cheekbones and jawline. This non-invasive treatment involves applying firm pressure to the muscles within the cheeks, helping to release built-up tension and enhance blood circulation to the region, thereby improving skin firmness and muscle tone.

Besides these cosmetic benefits, buccal massage has also been effective in reducing discomfort associated with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain, typically caused by muscular tension or a misaligned joint.

many well-known figures such as Duchess Meghan Markle, Kim Kardashian, Miranda Kerr, Emma Stone, and Gwyneth Paltrow have undergone this luxurious treatment frequently.

How long does a facial sculpting massage usually last?

I offer two distinct facial massage experiences, one comprising a 45-minute duration and the other being approximately 75 minutes in length.

What kind of benefits can clients expect from a session?

Facial contouring massage can result in various benefits for clients. This massage technique deploys gentle strokes that can aid blood flow to the face, thereby delivering fresh oxygen and essential nutrients to the skin. Stimulating lymphatic drainage can further help decrease swelling and puffiness in the face. Prolonged exposure to a facial massage may likely increase collagen production, eventually leading to the disappearance of unsightly wrinkles and fine lines. The heightened cellular activity within this region also bolsters a glowing and healthy complexion. Furthermore, as with any massage, relaxing and rejuvenating effects can help ease physical knotting and an overactive mind. Nonetheless, it is essential to realize that outcomes may differ based on individual factors such as age, skin type, and overall health.

Can the massage help with specific concerns? If so, what are they?

Facial Sculpting Massage

A face sculpting massage can be effective in addressing various specific concerns such as puffy eyes, jaw tension, acne-prone skin, wrinkles, and aging skin. The massage works by promoting lymphatic drainage, reducing inflammation, and regulating oil production, among other benefits, resulting in firmer, more youthful-looking skin.

Is there anyone who is NOT a good candidate for the massage?

Individuals who have been affected by specific medical conditions that involve the face, such as recent surgery or injury, inflammatory skin conditions, active acne, 1st-trimester pregnancy, or any metastatic disease, may not be suitable candidates for face sculpting massage.

How often do you recommend clients get facial sculpting massage?

Facial sculpting massage is a non-invasive procedure; so, in terms of how often a client should get a facial sculpting massage, it depends on their individual needs and goals.

if a client wants to achieve a more significant improvement in the appearance of their face, they may need to get a facial sculpting massage more frequently – perhaps once or twice a week for a few weeks or even once every two weeks for a longer period.

On the other hand, if a client is more interested in maintaining the results of a previous message, they may only need to get a facial sculpting massage once or twice a month.

Ultimately, the frequency of facial sculpting massages will be determined by the client’s unique needs and goals, as well as my recommendations for them.

What kinds of products do you use during a session?

I use frankincense, rosehip oil, and FILORGA’s masks.

Are there any aftercare instructions that clients should follow?

Facial Sculpting Massage

After receiving a face massage, it is necessary to adhere to some aftercare guidelines. Critical instructions include drinking sufficient water to aid in removing toxins, avoiding smoking or being in smoky environments, refraining from excessive face touching or rubbing, and controlling facial expressions (expressionless aura that even a seasoned poker player would envy) to allow for full relaxation of the facial muscles hours after the session.

Can the massage help with headaches or other forms of facial pain?

Yes, Undoubtedly, the therapeutic benefits of receiving a rejuvenating facial massage are numerous. By calming the facial and jaw muscles, this massage technique promotes relaxation and alleviates unpleasant symptoms of facial pain ailments such as Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ), tension headaches, and sinus congestion allowing for easier breathing and alleviating symptoms of sinusitis or allergies. This is achieved by enhancing blood flow and lymphatic drainage, reducing inflammation, and relieving muscular tension.

Furthermore, one can enjoy a heightened sense of serenity and tranquility resulting from the experience, ultimately promoting a more centered state of mind.

How does facial sculpting compare to other anti-aging treatments, such as Botox or fillers?

Facial Sculpting Massage

In comparison facial sculpting, goes beyond those injections by working on the quality of muscles, skin, blood circulation, and lymphatic system. It offers no certain benefit, but with a commitment to multiple sessions, one can observe overall improvements, such as lifting, a more youthful appearance, and a fresher look. This type of massage has always been a secret weapon for aestheticians. While Botox can stop muscle movement and fillers can add volume, a course of 5-10 facial massage sessions should be the first step before considering injectables.
