The Biggest Fashion Trends For Spring 2021

Yep, temperatures are still relatively low, but winter days will be gone before we even know it. So now is the perfect time to talk spring fashion. We are hoping that 2021 will mark the end of a pandemic that affected us all… And this year runways were full of hope too, with trends that are perfect for welcoming our normal life again from calming pastels to refreshing colors and patterns. Here are some of the biggest trends that we will shape our wardrobes and refresh our lives this season.

1 || It Is All About Nets

Fashion-Trends

No, we are not talking tights. But rather net dresses and jackets that can be layered easily. Nets are considered a smart summer purchase as they allow cool spring breeze in the hot weather. Choose a net jacket as seen on Fendi runways, net dress like the one offered by Hermès, Bottega Veneta or the shimmered one by Balenciaga.

2 || Flore It

Fashion-Trends

A stable spring trend. The only update this year is that florals are brighter, bolder, and more impactful. Seen at Tom Ford, Valentino, Marni, Carolina Herrera, Duro Olowu, and Kwaidan Editions.

3 || Colorful Coats

Fashion-Trends

As the past year was all about social distance, this spring designs are made to make you stand out in the crowd. And what better way to achieve that than a coat of many colors? We have seen colorful coats with patchwork, stripes and florals on the runways of brands like Dries van Noten, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Christopher Kane, Burberry, and Christian Dior.

4 || Lines

Fashion-Trends

Stripes were on everything this year; on pants, dresses, skirts, blazers, and tops. When it comes to stripes… Go big or go home. All spring runways were trying to convey this message from Burberry to Christopher Kane.

5 || Tie Dye

Fashion-Trends

Tie dyes are not going anywhere this spring. And while you can do your own tie-dye tee, we recommend you to pick a piece or two from the experts for a look that is made for spring. Seen at Christopher Kane, Dries van Noten, Y: Project, Gabriela Hearst, Tom Ford and Collina Strada tie-dye is one of the biggest trends of the season.

6 || Pastel

Fashion-Trends

From soothing buttercup yellows, lovely lilacs, peony pinks, and subtle bluebells you have all the perfect spring shades to choose from.

7 || Bold Shoulders

Fashion-Trends

The 80’s trend is back… boldly. wide, bold, big, and structured, this trend has ruled the runways this spring. We have seen it on dresses, blazers, and tops.

8 || Cut Out

Fashion-Trends

Perfect spring trend. Seen at Fendi, Carolina Herrera, and Miu Miu cut-outs made their way into gowns, dresses, and tops. While this trend is so feminine and sexy, it is for the bold hearted. So we suggest you start small if you are not too bold for it.

9 || Baggy Trousers

Fashion-Trends

Baggy pants and jeans have replaced the skinny ones this year. Yep, they might not show your curves as skinny pants do, but they are so chic and comfortable which is something that we all need right now.

10 || The Statement Trench

Fashion-Trends

Yes, trenches this spring are based on the idea of the classic ones, but they are not your traditional belted trenches. This season has brought more statement trench coats that can be worn as your trench and statement piece at the same time. Monochrome, colored, bold-sleeved, off the shoulders, this year’s choices are unlimited.

11 || sequins

Fashion-Trends

For all the bold souls out there, sequins are back. We have seen models wearing sequins barefoot at Balmain. While sequined dresses were paired with sneakers and a baseball cap on Celine’s catwalk. At Louis Vuitton and at Paco Rabanne, sequins were paired with simple T-shirts; and at Valentino and Chanel they were paired with flats. If that tells us anything, it is that sequins are not only for your evening parties anymore.

12 || Floaty Maxi Dresses

Fashion-Trends

One rule to be trendy this spring season: take the floor. Choose a maxi dress with a refreshing color, prints or fabric and you are good to go. Seen at Dior, Alberta Ferretti, Valentino, Erdem, and Michael Kors this trend is the most romantic take on spring runways.

13 || The Updated Bralette

Fashion-Trends

An expected coming back giving the new “working from home” era. We have seen it on the runways of the likes of Dior, Alberta Ferretti, Isabel Marant, and Givenchy. This piece screams spring, whether you choose minimal, printed, or statement bralette you are all set.
