The Brand You Need To Know This Season
In the fashion world, good labels continue to grow and dominate with each season. One brand that is going viral recently is a Parisian label designed by Sebastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant.
Coperni is a ready-to-wear and accessories brand that is all over the place this spring. Launched by the due who had worked at Chanel and Balenciaga in 2013, the womenswear label was named after renaissance astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. In 2014, the label won the ANDAM First Collection Prize.
In 2015, the label was put on hold and withdrew from the LVMH Prize, which they had reached the final shortlist for that year. And this was since the due were approached to breathe new creative life into the historic French 1960s brand Courreges.
In February 2019, the duo announced that they would be re-launching Coperni with a lower price point and unisex pieces included. Now, the brand that is synonymous with a minimal, playfully subversive aesthetic and mini swipe bag is loved by A-list fashion icons and celebrities.
A look at the label projects tells us that it is anything but basic. One of their most interesting projects is “Coperni Arcade”; which was born from a meeting between fashion and gaming.
“A series of interactive games accessible via the brand’s Instagram Stories. The games give the user the opportunity to play with pieces from the collection, thereby breaking the classic methods of communication.”
So creative! We believe that they have reached a lot of people’s hearts through their unexpected and fun way of interacting with them.
