Our Favorite Rising Brands To Shop This Fall

Although the number of emerging fashion brands is on the rise, we never get enough. There is always something new to look forward to. It might be since today’s fashion is no longer about being on trend but is more about having an original sense of personal style. So designers follow their own hearts creating unique looks that suit every individual style. Here are our favorite emerging brands to add to your fall shopping list.

1 || Sukeina

Fall Brands

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at Sukeina’s fall collection? If you say origami art, you are not alone. Omar Salam named the brand after his late mother and Sukeina means “bright light” in Wolof which exactly describes his collections. The designer draws inspiration from his personal history for his signature paneled dresses and separates. The way he makes all these fabrics work together beautifully and the great attention to details make his designs a wonderful addition to your wardrobe.

2 || Conner Ives

Fall Brands

The perfect choice for patchwork lovers. London-based American designer Conner Ives effortlessly brought summer to fall. The designer tells the stories of the girls and women he grew up with through his designs. His collections are exclusively designed with deadstock fabric and recycled vintage clothing.

3 || Sindiso Khumalo

Fall Brands

If Handicraft pieces are more your thing, then this brand is for you.

The architect and textile designer believes that she’s there to highlight the work of small communities so she partners with NGOs and small workshops in South Africa and Burkina Faso on woven, crocheted, hand-printed, and embroidered looks. Khumalo focuses on creating modern sustainable textiles with a strong emphasis on African storytelling.

4 || Ahluwalia

Fall Brands

Looking at Priya Ahluwalia’s collections, it is clear that the London-based creative incorporates elements of her Nigerian and Indian heritage into her designs through beading, embroidery, and bright colors. The designer hasn’t entered the world of womenswear until recently after so many women shopped her menswear collections. Her fall collection includes laser-printed denim and ruched dresses made with recycled fibers.

5 || Puppets and Puppets

Fall Brands

Artist-turned-designer Carly Mark’s designs are anything but conventional. According to the designer, she launched her clothing label just to make clothes she and her friends can actually wear. While her collections do not seem too (wearable) to us, she actually offers separates that offer just the right amount of quirky detail if you don’t have to go full Renaissance queen.

6 || Saint Sintra

Fall Brands

This one is for you if you love fresh takes on tailoring. The designer mixes menswear aesthetics with corsetry and the pastel, bow-festooned dream as they are made to come together. Her romantic pieces inspired by nostalgia work for all body types.

7 || Private Policy

Fall Brands

Futuristic silhouettes and fluffy textures are what define Siying Qu and Haoran Li’s fall runway. The New York- and Shanghai-based duo behind Private Policy were able to push all boundaries and keep offering hybrid garments that celebrate the beauty of fluidity despite COVID travel restrictions in the past two years.

8 || Maximilian

Fall Brands

Maximilian Davis’s work is defined by elegance, refined sensuality, and constant commitment to quality. The young creative draws his inspiration from everything from his grandmother’s vinyl to calypso music to food. His fall 2022 runway was filled with fluid pieces that celebrate the female form, like a twisted jersey bodysuit or cutout halter top slit almost to the navel.

9 || Nensi Dojaka

Fall Brands

Rihanna, Zendaya, and Bella Hadid are some of the top fans of the brand’s LBDs and daring cutouts and delicate strap tops. Her sleek feminine pieces soften everything in a super romantic way. If you feel that her pieces remind you of bedroom lingerie it might be because the designer studied lingerie design before pursuing an MA in womenswear. Dojaka has proved that she can take her lingerie-based aesthetic to puffer jackets and knitwear as well as drop-dead, sinuously desirable long evening dresses in a super glamorous and sophisticated way.

10 || Interior

Fall Brands

Blending artisanal craft with modern sportswear silhouettes, Interior is the perfect place to go if you are into modern tailoring. Lily Miesmer and Jack Miner offer so many unconventional options for everyone. The most playful offering of the season was a tailored suit with trompe l’oeil illustrations by Richard Haines.
