Jude you are a media natural and it’s a great thing to be able to recognise your talents so early on….is this what you’ve always wanted to do?

I would say that I had an early start on television and stage; I started with acting, which helped me gain the confidence needed to develop my stage presence and presenting skills. I worked along some of the biggest names in the industry and was trained by Jordanian actress, Juliet Awad, who made sure to build my talent and make me love what I do.
As I grew older I decided to keep acting as a side hobby and then when I realized where my strengths lay, I decided to pursue a career in media and to become a TV presenter. My biggest inspiration is Oprah Winfrey; I love the idea of inspiring others and being a true TV influencer who aims to make positive changes from the heart. I chose to stick with being true to myself and decided to gain as much experience as I could in this field.
I left to the UK and did a foundation year in International Business at Loughborough University, then did my bachelors in Communications and Media with Sociology at the University of Leicester, then completed my Masters at Goldsmiths University of London in Television Journalism and Broadcasting.
In between, I made sure to do as many internships as possible and worked in different TV networks like CNN, BBC, ITV, and SKY, and I also worked for an Arabic TV channel in London. I worked on both news and entertainment, and I covered red carpet events in London working with US Weekly. I also interned at PR companies and magazines in Amman, and tried to juggle different experiences to get a bigger insight on everything that has to do with this field.
Jude tell us a little about yourself?

I’m an athlete, I have a black belt in Taekwondo, competed professionally in swimming, tennis and table tennis. I played professional football here in Jordan and during my whole time at university. I later switched to horse back riding and took it more seriously. I did theatre my whole life. I traveled a lot; every summer my parents would send me to student exchange programs all over the world… on my own to build my character and get to meet people from different cultures.
What does it mean for you to be chosen as brand ambassador for Olivia Burton?
Working with Olivia Burton makes me beyond happy. During this digital age and social media revolution it is important to only work with brands that you can truly relate to and this is what happened with Olivia Burton. I felt an instant connection with the brand and the people behind it. I genuinely love the brand, the designers, the colors and the stories behind each watch. It’s affordable and suitable for all occasions, and you can find different tasteful ones that vary in style. Besides it’s British…that in itself was a win for me:) I almost feel like Olivia Burton is my own brand and would truly love to see it on people’s wrists. As a Brand Ambassador I’m given the freedom of speaking my mind and staying true to myself…which is my ultimate goal.
You juggle so many roles at Roya TV; can you tell us more about that?

At Roya, I’m a TV presenter, reporter, and a producer. I do a lot. I have segments on 5 shows, I do more than 5 weekly TV reports and I write for the English news department. I was a producer and presenter on Caravan for a whole season, I later moved to the news department and joined shows that targeted an older age group. I have a segment on Caravan (Falamanji: about the latest movies and celebrity gossip). I also appear on Helwa Ya Donya, Donya Ya Donya, Hatha Al Sabah and Caravan every week.
How did the idea behind The Jude Show come about and what were you hoping to achieve?
Living abroad and making friends with people from different nationalities I felt the need to make people know of our Jordanian accomplishments. This spurred me to start my own show on YouTube where I interview people with success stories in Jordan to share with the world. Back then my innocent self thought it would be easy… haha little did I know!! I also covered social stories and did some Vlogging.
One of my biggest building experiences was hiring a team of freelancers using my savings, and dealing with the whole production on my own…it wasn’t easy but I knew it would be worth it one day and it really was.
You’ve interviewed many inspirational figures, what can you tell us about that.

Yes, I did interview amazing people! I was honoured to have met with HRH Prince Al Hassan. His Royal Highness is humble, intelligent, amazing, a genius, and down to earth, I can go on and on, there aren’t enough words to describe him. He was soft and gentle with our crew, humble yet social in a way that would make you forget that he’s Royalty. The loveliest talk and definitely my favorite interview.
What’s next for you?
I’m currently working on a side business project that I can’t wait to share with everyone. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while and made it a point to save enough money to do this on my own…a few more weeks and you’ll hear about it:) I have a lot of ideas for TV; I definitely hope to run my own show one day. Only time will tell.
What are you most proud of achieving so far?
I’m proud of so many things. I was told I needed years to get to where I am today and I refused to listen, and here I am making it all happen. They will only tell you that you can’t do it just because they can’t do it themselves, keep that in mind and show them that dreams actually do come true.
How do you feel that you can best represent Olivia Burton watches?
I can only best represent it by being myself. Its’ British identity, floral designs and colors are all me. I am also loving the British Jordanian connection we’re bringing together. It’s more than just selling watches, it’s bringing two cultures together, which is what we all should be doing at a time like this. Bringing everyone together and spreading peace and love.
Last question….what are you reading now? Do you have a favorite book?
I read a lot. My favorites are without a doubt Oprah Winfrey’s books and I would encourage anyone to read “What I Know For Sure”. I’m currently finishing her “Super Soul Sunday Book”. Her books are all about inspiring you and sending out important messages that I personally take into my heart and live by.
