Simple Tricks That Will Update Your Spring Looks Instantly

The way you accessories your outfit can take it from day to night without changing any piece of clothing. And that is actually quite interesting and makes accessories an art we should all learn. This season, there are some tips you should consider when accessorizing your looks to take them to the next level in no time. Keep reading 🙂

1 || Hats

Spring Looks

Yes, the protection and covering purposes of hats come as super helpful. But don’t keep them for bad hair days. Hats are great for highlighting a good outfit and taking it one step further. You get maximum impact with minimal effort… something we all need in our wardrobes 😉 One of the trending styles that is pulled off by A-list models like Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber is the patterned knit hat. And if in doubt, go for the baseball cap. Both are casual, work for every season, and will pair perfectly well with this year’s sneaker trends. If at the beach embrace the straw hat which is strong trend for spring.

2 || Jewelry

Spring Looks

The one element that can nourish and give life to the most minimal looks. When it comes to jewelry, there are two rules to follow this season: Go a little extra and layer whenever possible. Chunky necklaces and chokers, big cuffs, and big rings all layered together were seen everywhere on the runways. Of course, you don’t have to go all out and wear everything together if that’s not you… Don’t underestimate the effect of one chunky earring or necklace.

3 || Handbags

Spring Looks

Sometimes it is all about the bag. You can take an outfit from day to night by only changing your handbag. The styles and colors are unlimited this spring which makes choosing the right one a bit tricky. Simply put, a roomy, crossbody, or shopping bag go well with your daytime and casual outfits. If you want something more formal, go for a structured, sparkly, or chain handbag. If you are spending a cool day at the pool, a raffia handbag (made with leather maybe) would be perfect.

4 || Sunglasses

Spring Looks

Your sunglasses can easily be your statement piece with all the cool new styles out there from the updated cat-eye to the dramatic frames. There are two ways to pick the right one for you; the style you want to add to your outfit and the shape of your face. The cat-eye and the ultra sleek sunnies will add a vintage and fashionable touch to your look, and they work with both formal and informal outfits. Square and big ones are timeless and go with everything. The retro round and sporty shades sunglasses go perfect with your casual looks. Go for Clear lenses, frameless or visors with your formal outfits. If you are bold and confident enough, the dramatic and futuristic frames are the ones for you.

If you have a heart-shaped face, your jawline will be the narrowest point, so you’ll want frames that are wider on the top. Cat eye or square sunglasses would be best. Oval shaped faces will look their best with round and retro shaped frames. Round faces are widest at the cheekbones, with a narrow forehead and jawline. The best shaped frames will offset roundness. Consider oversized or aviator frames.

Square faces tend to be wide, so it is important to choose sunglasses with soft lines or rimless edges to balance it out. Round and wayfarer sunglasses are your best option.

5 || Shoes

Spring Looks

Think out of the box for spring. Match your dress, skirt, blazer or abaya with a sneaker for instance. Or wear high heels with a denim look.

6 || Belts

Spring Looks

It’s been a while since we strapped a belt onto an outfit… Well, all of that is about to change. In place of the self-belts in a similar color as the outfit worn, there is a strong direction towards a brown or black belt, usually of medium width. This was seen at Gabrielle Hearst, Chloe and there are plenty of beautiful belts to buy and add to your wardrobe from Loewe and Isabel Marant.
