Available on every single workout website; the wide hemline leggings are taking over once again. 20 years ago, flared leggings, also known as yoga pants or Jazz pants, were a hit, then time passed, hemlines narrowed, and we forgot about flare leggings until recently. 

With more than 10.8 million views on the hashtag “flared leggings” on TikTok, the trend that follows the wide legs shape of the moment is going viral recently. Not to mention that the google search for “flare legging” spiked in the past few weeks. All this makes us want to embrace the trend of the moment with a pair or two right now. 

Although the pants haven’t changed much, they only got better with age. The new flared legging comes in knit fabrics that are office-appropriate or cuts that feel dressed up. But do they qualify as real pants, and how to style them? let’s find out…

Flared leggings do qualify as real pants, and they are pretty versatile. The cherry on top? They will elongate your legs, giving the illusion of slimmer legs. You can easily take them from the gym to a brunch or even a night out. Pair them with a sports bra and athletic sneakers for gym days (of course, you can take this look for grocery shopping or running errands). If you want to take your daytime casual look one step further, match it with your white sneakers, white tank top, and maybe your oversized denim jacket. Dress it up by pairing it with booties, a black crop top, and a blazer. When it comes to styling these pants the sky is the limit, push your boundaries and get creative.
