The Easiest Skincare Routine & Makeup Look For Parties

The holiday season is here. If you love to go bold and all festive it is the right time to do so (you can still use our pre-makeup skincare tips). But if simplicity is your way to go, then this article is for you. A simple look that focuses on the little details can be so festive. How to achieve this? Let’s get down to work.

Prep Your Skin

Think of your skin as a canvas. It should be clean and polished for you to be able to paint on, otherwise, it won’t work. To get your skin ready for flawless makeup, first, you need to exfoliate it to get rid of dead skin and get a glowy base. Additional steps would be to use your favorite face oil and under-eye patches. If you have a vibrating or a gade roller you maybe want to firm your skin with it.

Another pre-makeup essential step that we’re assuming that you already know and hopefully do is moisturizing. Use your favorite face moisturizer and eye cream to plump your face, reduce wrinkles appearance and allow foundation and concealer to blend flawlessly.

Boost Your Skin

If your skin is happy with the boost it has gotten from using only the moisturizer then great. Otherwise, it may need a little more by adding a bit of primer, concealer, and/ or foundation. Use products that you prefer and apply them on your entire face or only to cover dark or red spots, blemishes, or redness.

The Eyes

Our look is simple. You’ll keep your entire face natural, and add a bold lip color to make an impact. That said, it is important to define the eyes. Smooth liquid eyeliner between the roots of your lashes along the outer half of your upper lids. Clean up the line with a Q-tip, then apply a coat of mascara. If you prefer false lashes, just go for them without going so dramatic though.

Don’t forget your brows as they frame your face. Fill and brush them using a brow pencil or gel.

Bring In The Festive Cheer

Two things: highlight & lipstick. Add a sheer highlighter on the tops of your cheekbones, the inner corners of your eyes, your cupid’s bow, the bridge of your nose and maybe on your eyelids too. The right highlight will give you the perfect glow.

Finally, the lips. When it comes to your lips, Go BIG or go home. Whether you prefer lipstick, tinted lip balm or lip gloss make sure to choose a bold color. You can swipe a bit of it on your cheeks to pull everything together.

Happy Holidays 🙂
