Kate Hudson And Rachel Zoe Are Investing in Oscar Massin
Launched early this year, the jewelry brand Oscar Massin’s aim is to attract a new generation of jewelry shoppers with its sustainability commitments including its carbon-neutral lab-grown diamonds. And because of their ethical goals, the brand won the investment arm of two A-list celebrities like actress Kate Hudson and stylist Rachel Zoe who share the brand’s values.
Commenting on becoming an investor, Hudson said: “Investing in companies that share my values is always first and foremost. Oscar Massin has a vision that resonates with me. They have a meaningful purpose and believe in true transparency. I appreciate the integrity of the art, as well as their commitment to an ethically-driven product, and the jewelry is absolutely gorgeous.”
Zoe added: “The Oscar Massin collection truly resonates with me not only for how extraordinarily beautiful the collection is but because of their disruptive approach to the world of fine jewelry utilizing carbon-neutral diamonds and recycled gold.
During an intimate dinner at Kate’s house, the actress celebrated the brand’s ethical mission. Posted on her Instagram; “This brand is simply stunning with a mission that is dear to my heart. It’s why I decided to invest and hopefully help bring focus to a luxury brand that has a delightful and vital message. Protecting our planet by innovating new ways to create the pieces we celebrate life’s big moments with.”
Oscar Massin is the first heritage jewelry brand to commit to carbon-neutral lab-grown diamond and using recycled gold.
The 19th-century jeweler’s revival is being led by Luximpact’s co-founder Frederic de Narp, former global chief executive of Harry Winston, who has been named chief executive of Oscar Massin. He will work alongside creative director Sandrine de Laage and chairwoman Coralie de Fontenay, both formerly of Harry Winston and Cartier.
The relaunch of the heritage brand is with a focus on sustainability, with all its collections set to use only fully traceable, 100% climate-neutral Latitude diamonds in settings of fully recycled gold and platinum.
