Wearing Hair Extensions? This One Is For You
Hair is the most precious thing for a woman. It adds beauty to her beauty . So if you are blessed with long shiny locks, then you are lucky. Otherwise, you may have resorted to hair extensions which is a great solution for those with a short thin hair. Taking care of these extensions is important though, in order to keep them flawless and last for as long as possible. Here is what you have to do.
1 || Showering Rule
Wash your tape-in extension with sulfate-free shampoo and follow with a conditioner. Avoid getting the conditioner on your roots, as your tape-in extension may slide out over time. Apply a leave-in product to brush your extensions easily and keep them in a good condition. Make sure to wash your clip-ins and ready-to-wear styles every 3 – 5 wears and never sleep in them.
2 || Styling Rule
Your extensions can be styled exactly like your natural hair. This means they can be braided, curled or straightened. Be careful with heat styling as this may ruin your extension quality faster. However, if your extension is high quality then it will respond to heat like your natural hair and get split ends too.
3 || bedtime Rule
Again never sleep with clip-ins and ready-to-wear styles. When it comes to tape-ins, do not sleep with wet extensions and put your hair into a loose ponytail or braid before bed to keep them in the best condition.
4 || Brush Rule
With extensions or without, please brush your hair enough. Many of us ignore the importance of brushing hair which can lead to tangling. And once this happen breakage is the only result. Using a wide brush start brushing your hair all the way down from the scalp to detangle without damaging your extension.
5 || Products Rule
As we mentioned before, you will need a sulfate-free shampoo and a moisturizing conditioner to treat your extensions. You will also need a hair mask and leave-in conditioning sprays. The brush you choose is so important too as you need to keep your extensions tangle-free. Wet brushes might be so helpful as they won\’t tug on your hair extensions to pull the tangles out.
